Nice place to hang out and have a few drinks.
The Roaring 20s was having “technical difficulties, so I passed a few hours next door at the Condor. Staff was very nice, but that might be in part because the R20s staff walked me over and introduced me, making sure that I would not have to pay a cover charge.
There were about 6 girls working at 7:30, 4 White and 2 AA or mixed. All were in the 6 to low 7 range. Stage performances are topless. Most of the girls came across with an “it’s a job” attitude. There were about 10-12 PLs, mostly sitting at tables, not paying a lot of attention to the girls, and not tipping at the stage, so their attitude was somewhat understandable. A few of the PLs would step up and tip a dollar during the song where the dancer got topless. I took that as a queue to tip several dollars for each song and got some good attention at the stage. All I could think was stingy locals in one of the most affluent cities in the country. One of the few clubs I have been at where the staff always sweeps up the tips after the girl and passes them to her. I have often seen it with feature performers, but rarely with the house girls.
The place is very clean, somewhat small, and the staff well-dressed. William showed me in and was very pleasant and attentive. I do not remember exactly, but I think I paid a reasonable $6 or $8 for a well drink. A few girls circulated, but once they sat down with clients that smelled like money, they were super-glued to their chairs. There was an unusually large representation of female patrons. There were a few couples and on the other side of the room a group of 6 women, probably in their late 30s, sat in the back. After a few drinks a few of them would rotate up to the stage, giggle, and throw money. The dancers responded and since I was the only other PL at the stage, it was great fun to watch.
