Newly non-smoking!
After having not visited for several months, I decided to make the trip out to Greensboro to check this place out again.
It looks like they are trying to get a little bit more upscale and have switched to non-smoking and had a code of conduct with 10 rules to sign (e.g., no fighting, no ungentlemanly conduct, etc) Other than the non-smoking environment, the vibe seemed pretty similar to what I remembered. I had never seen any fighting or ungentlemanly conduct on previous visits, so I guess this might have been to set expectations more than to deal with actual problems. Maybe one day they will get a good local beer, too. After making the drive to the town where Natty Greene's is located, it would have been nice to be able to order a bottle of Thicket.
My first time back was on a Monday for a very short visit. There might have been more dancers than customers that night, and immediately upon entering, a girl that I wasn't interested in attached herself to me. I saw a dancer I had spoken with earlier in the year and told the one who had sat next to me that I had picked out the other girl for the 2 for $30 dance that was announced soon after I entered. Despite being pretty slow that night, the couch room was full during the special, and I was surprised at how good the 2-for-1 dance was, given that it was one-way.
