After an obnoxious visit to Glitter Gulch (don't go there, ever, for any reason), I had to assure my girlfriend that the research I did before our last Vegas trip promised a much better experience at the Palomino. Thankfully, this club redeemed the Vegas scene for us.

The facility struck me as pretty average on the main floor, featuring plenty of painted concrete and few decorative extras. Do not visit expecting to be surrounded in opulence, this place feels like a working-class club. I don't intend that statement to be negative, nothing stood out to me as being gross. The tables and floors obviously get regular attention from the cleaning crew, and I didn't notice anything that was clearly in need of repair. That works for me, I don't require carpeting and expensive wallpaper to enjoy an evening with dancers.

The second floor has a significantly nicer atmosphere, but (at least when I visited) no action. You're removed from the dancers on stage, which is a bummer, but the bar area is quieter and a bit more refined than the main floor. You can talk more easily upstairs, for sure. All of the real VIP amenities are on the second floor, featuring semi-private booths and some fully private rooms. Considering what they charge for them, I think the rooms should be dressed up a little nicer. On future visits (we plan to return) I wouldn't hesitate very much to get a room if the mood strikes, but I do recommend that you ask to take a look at the amenities first hand before you commit any money.
