Underwhelming
On a Monday evening, this place was desolate. There were up to 3 customers, a woman bartender/waitress, and no dancers.
The club is on 13th St. and Cleveland. I parked across the street in the Aldi parking lot, but some street parking is also available. The neighborhood is just ok. Door fee is $5.00 and there is an ID check and pat-down by a man wearing a uniform almost looking like police. The interior is fairly spacious with a bar to the right and private dance areas straight ahead. The private dance areas are furnished with plush sofas and plush chairs. To the left is a DJ booth and the main stage. The main stage is a cloverleaf shape with 3 poles and surrounded by a tip rail. A dozen tables are arranged around the edges of the room. Strobe and laser lights are constantly in motion on the mirrored walls. Music is played at a very moderate volume. Restroom facility is nice.
I arrived at 7:15 and got the required 1 drink. It was a little chilly inside. I was told that it was shift change and that a dancer was coming. But, after waiting up to an hour, no dancers came out. I told the bouncer I would go out for a while and come back. But as I was leaving, a heavyset Hispanic man who introduced himself as the manager, came up to me and apologized for the lack of dancers. He said they were having a furnace problem and the dancer decided not to come in. He kindly gave me 4 free admission tickets to use in the future.
Even if the one dancer had shown up, this place would not have been a hotbed of activity on a Monday evening, with almost no customers present. One would hope the activity level is higher on a weekend. Although the place opens at 4:00 pm, I doubt that it is worthwhile to come in that early. I will probably return but not too soon.
