A Comfy Joint
An old man's bar with a strip twist -- after numerous passes at many times where it was closed, finally landed on a Tuesday at 5pm when the neon sign was blaring. The bouncer was amiable and unobtrusive. It's a small, velvety, circular bar, quite dark, with a slight L.E.S. punk vibe. There seemed to be about three ladies, all attractive, 30ish working, and one gentleman in his 60s, just sitting there sipping a drink, with no one dancing until I was on my way out. A good-looking latina sidled up to me pretty quickly and set the thoroughly friendly vibe. There's a cave of a back-room for 15 dollars, and an array of booths with chairs, separated by black (or grey -- again, it's a pretty dark place), and back-room was fairly cheap for what you got, and there was no time pressure at all. While the place is a bit depressing, it definitely has its own unique energy, and it's doubtful you'd leave this place disappointed.
