Mediocre at best

Just got back from a late night trip to Showcase Theater. Got there at about 1:45 AM. The place closes at 3:00 AM on Friday nights. Decided to go because I have not been there in a long time. The place is BYOB, but in order to drink your preferred beverage, you have to buy a cup. I chose not to. Went in to see a very nice mix of dancers. The place certainly has not changed since the last time I was there, in 2005. Its still a bit on the dive-y side. But that's why Showcase has its appeal. Sat down in the middle of the room and was soon approached by one of the dancers, who did not introduce herself to me, a very nice white girl. Sat down on my lap, and we proceeded to have a very nice chat. Why was I getting there so late? What do I do for a living? And so on. Since the club is not brightly lit, and I could not discern the attractiveness of this particular dancer, I decided to start slow and get a bikini dance for $20. She took me over to the regular dance area and waited until the next song played before giving me the full dance. However, there was a bit of what I would call "dancer foreplay" which would be some general butt shaking and twerking. Song begins, and so does the dance. They are a full grind club and she didn’t hold back. Since I was then able to get a better look at her (a solid 7 for me), I decided that I did not want to get a second dance. So I went back to my seat. Not long after, a much more attractive dancer plops down in my lap, again without introducing herself. A but of small talk and I decide to go for the VIP nude dance. Gave $20 to the bartender to get to the VIP room and the $40 for the nude dance. Unfortunately, the VIP room was so dimly lit, that it would have been just as good to get the topless dance instead for $20 instead. So within probably 20-25 minutes I am out $80 and I decide to leave. Upon walking back to my car I realized that there was a reason that it had been almost a decade since I had been to Showcase. It will probably be another decade before I return.
