Not what I expected

When I lived near New Orleans I went almost exclusively to the black clubs in New Orleans East. As a result, I developed an appreciation of and preference for AA dancers. Therefore, I was intrigued about the chatter of the Yellow Rose "going ghetto". I had the chance to check it out during the early afternoon on a Tuesday.

The club was not what I expected. When I went in the waitress told me I could sit anywhere. The main stage was the only one in use and the seating near it was marked VIP so I sat elsewhere. There appeared to be 5 or 6 dancers on shift and they were all white. The rest of the staff and all the customers were white as well. One dancer was only on stage about half the time during her stage set. One guy near me got a "lap" dance at his table and it appeared that it was about 90% air. It wasn't much of a surprise that he didn't opt for a second dance. The only positives were that one dancer didn't mind initiating some physical contact when I went to tip her while she was on stage.
