First impressions on an early evening.

Well I wound up in Springfield on a Saturday and decided to stop in at this place to see what it was all about. It was only about 6 pm and they had just opened at 5. This place used to be pretty rough a few years ago, but now looks like it has been totally remodeled, and is quite nice inside, with a very full bar. No draft beer though. As I walked in I was greeted by a guy smoking outside near the front door. friendly type, just said hello. I sat at the bar. there were two short statured twentysomethings sitting at the bar with girlydrinks talking to some fellow. The bartender was a tall thin dark haired pretty thing named "V", with some tasteful piercings in her cheeks and lower lip. I ordered a Bud ( $3.25 ). Manager/ bouncer was a big guy, well dressed and friendly. Talked with V a bit about her unusual street name that started with a V. I'll leave it up to her to share it with you if you visit. I said hello to a little blonde dancer with the same name as a popular drug, (just coincidence I think), sitting one stool away by her girlfriend and their sponsor. She scooted over one stool towards me, and was nice and friendly and we talked the usual small talk for a few minutes. She asked V "what was for dinner?" and was told pork chops and spicy fried potatoes. One chop for $5 or two for $7. Available for customers too, but served on paper plates and utensils. Another taller, dark haired dancer showed up and took the stool she just vacated and proceeded to open some Tupperware spaghetti and ate her fill too. So in all it was just to early to see much action, and I wasn't going to push them to get started dancing so being tired from a full day of working a to-do list in Springfield I decided to hop in my little hotrod for the 60 mile trip home. Blondie told me "private" dances were available for $20 and a chalkboard advertised a half hour private for $100. I guess there is a small cover charge starting about 8 pm. Sorry for not including much info about the entertainment but it was just too early, but the place looks like it could be a nice place to spend an evening enjoying the hobby.
