A Good Start At Nags Turning Boring
This is venue is part of the now dwindling, "Money in the jug" pub strip circuit in London. 10 years ago there were probably 25 venues of this type within in the central London area, now there are less than 10 (and a couple of those are best avoided). I do prefer this type of venue to expensive entrance fee type venues, because by putting a pound coin in the girls collection jugs for each dance you pay for exactly how long you are in the venue which seems more fair.
See my earlier reviews for full details on this venue.
My friends and I arrived in the late afternoon/early evening. Strippers were mostly good with only 1 or 2 ropey looking girls or unenthusiastic acts. After a shift change they were still more high quality than not. I was also pleased to find the stage lighting maybe a little improved compared to other recent visits (I still think it could be better though.) After my friends left I had planned to stay until it was time for my last train back to Bournemouth. However at about 8.30 (when the number of punters dwindled) girls didn't seem to be going onstage. I presume this was due to some rule about having a certain number of punters in (probably enforced by the busy body council). It's a nice venue, but if it can't be busy at peak time on a Saturday night you have to wonder how much longer it'll be with us. Recently we've lost The Flying Scotsman, could this be the next casualty? I headed off to The Griffin, hoping to find it busier.
