A big improvement that upgrades the Sacramento scene.

I am impressed. The remodel is great and the girls much improved. This place used to be a dive and the girls bored and seemed to have been rounded up from the local trailer parks. The first and only time I was there was about 6 years ago and I have not been back, because of better options in the area. It was such a dive and had such a terrible vibe that I did not spend more than 20 minutes there and did not buy any private dances. And a couple of dancers at other clubs said they used to work at Pure Gold, but left because the owner was pressuring them for sex. Those girls were in the 5 category, so it might be that the management was trying to upgrade the staff and this is the way the girls forced out are hitting back. (They were working at DV down the street, which is rapidly turning into a dive due to the lack of investment.)

Free parking. Reasonably safe area right off the boulevard. No hassle at the entrance. Disinterested staff. Music was loud, but not painfully so. DJ was not terribly chatty. You get a cup for free soda. If you want to keep it, keep it with you. I went for some dances and it was gone. I did not much care as free soda is not why I go to clubs.

It is not very big. There are two stages, one at each end of the room and a bunch of TVs scattered around the room, including a giant screen in the middle. I understand using sports as an additional draw to a club, but they are into overkill.
