Rick's advertises lunch specials, so I decided to give them a shot. I arrived at 12:30, paid a $5 cover, and found a seat. The club layout is nice enough. Seating around the main stage, then an elevated set of seating a little further back. Nice, big U-shaped booths. The VIP area was like another club within the club, separated by a bar and a large arched doorway.

They had 2 waitresses for 3 patrons, so service was attentive. Lunch was something frozen they threw in the fryer. (I was too skeptical to order the shrimp special.) With drink and tip it was about $9.

How were the dancers? One was a talented dancer with average looks. Mixed race, very fit, flat stomach, some tummy scars, and fake boobs. Other than her? Nothing. I spent over an hour in this club and saw one 3-song set. 8 minutes of dancing, and the rest was sports highlights to loud club songs. How do you charge a cover when there are no dancers?
