How do they stay open?

Passing through town and decided to stop and check out this club. Got to the club about 7:15 figured night shift would just be starting. A number of cars in parking lot, thought it would be busy. Heavy set girl checking you in and collection cover fee of $5.00. Checked my ID which seamed pointless since I am well over age. Walked in and the stage is to your immediate right. Good sized club. No one on stage. One table with 2 guys and a dancer. Few people at bar. No waitress around. Went to bar and got beer $3.75 bottle. Bartender was okay and friendly. Sat down and a waitress did appear wearing jeans and a varsity jacket. A few of day shift girls were leaving and no night shift girls were in sight. 2 other girls sitting at bar with their regs. After 20 min. of dead stage a girl that reminded me of Shelley Duvall ( Popeye movie) got on stage. Could not get out of there fast enough. When 2 other clubs are just around the corner. Deja Vu and Cowboys. Decided to try Cowboys. What a good choice. How does this club stay open?
