Made a trip to Bourbon on a Saturday night with a friend who was in from out of town. Truth be told, Bourbon has a horrible day shift, and is really only good on Thursday-Sunday nights, with a rare exception here and there. This is when the big hitters come out, they know they're the top talent in town and can charge a premium. A lot of them won't even do dances on the floor, its VIP only. Once dancer told me she only works Friday and Saturday nights from 10-2 and makes enough in those 8 days a month to pay all her bills. For me, the better value is down the street at Hiliter, but to each his own. I wouldn't say the inside of Bourbon Street is much nicer than Hiliter, its nicer, but not by a large margin. Drinks are poured stronger at the Hiliter and your money will go WAAAAAY further. On this night Bourbon worked out well for me. My friend was pleased with the experience and I doubt he would have had a much better time at Hiliter. Tuesday afternoon is a different story.
