Wednesday afternoon, 6 dancers

At 1 o'clock on a Wednesday afternoon I had an hour to kill before before my flight leaving Detroit so I thought that I would get myself an introduction to Detroit's CD strip club scene.

First stop was Henry's, I entered the club pay the five dollar cover and $6.75 for a beer and sat down at a table near the stage. There was a tall thin AA dancer on the stage who rated at least an eight or nine in my book. Looking around the room there were a Nother four or five dancers, an equal mix of AA and white, cuddled up with patrons at booths or tables around the outside wall on the club. The dancer onstage proceeded to do some relatively intricate pope work, which surprised me based on the atmosphere of the club so I threw her a couple of bucks in ones.

Once her sat was over she walked over to my table said "you the one who tipped me?" When I answered in the affirmative, she said "so, you want to dance or what?" I wasn't really feeling the way our conversation was going, so I said no thanks and she proceeded back over to the corner to sit with her regular customer.
