Nice club for a nice quiet night
I visited Club Desire a few weeks ago to blow off some steam and had a very good time. The club was moderately busy but not too much so, with plenty of room to move around, pick a seat at the bar/seat at the rail/get the bar tender's attention, etc. The club is smaller than your usual club, so I imagine it could get very busy. However the size is mitigated by the style of the club and also by the clientele. In terms of style, its a bit quieter (I've never been annoyed by the DJ or music), good attitudes of the people there, and on the darker side in terms of lighting. Nice but not too nice. In terms of clientele, Desire is the kind of club you visit with a trusted friend or by yourself. I think maybe there was one small bachelor party there, 4 or 5 people, but my impression is that most of those groups go to Foxy. There were a few couples there as well, getting a bit of dancers' attention, which is ok for me. Local businessmen. Although Desire has a reputation for being a regulars' club, that doesn't really bother me, a non-regular. Gives you a chance to be patient and pick your opportunities.
The girl to patron ratio was fairly high during my visit, so I received more visitors than I normally would while sitting at the bar. At the stage, I met one dancer with dark hair and tattoos who looked very good to me. Engaged her at the rail and she tried to sell me the private room pretty quickly into our chat. I wasn't packing that amount of money, (nor I should admit was I ready for what I'm thinking is going to happen in there), but I said I was interested in talking further about it. She promised to visit me after her dance, but I'm sure she sniffed a Scrooge and took about 20-30 minutes at least. While waiting I was approached by another beautiful alt-type dancer who offered a dance which I went for.
The lap dance experience here is much better than at Foxy. The dancer takes you to the back corner where there are stalls with doors - basically changing rooms. You pay $5 to the house and you'll pay $20 to the dancer for a topless dance (35 for full nude). For me I think topless is a better value because the lighting's not great anyway. The attendant does not bother you and no one else is watching or walking by so the dances are good with plenty of contact. I think it is a good strategy to buy two up front but I did not do so this time. Saving for my next visit.
