I hadn't been back to the Mynx Cabaret since a disappointing visit over Labor Day weekend (very few customers, very few dancers, very little enthusiasm on anybody's part). That one really shouldn't count, so I didn't write it up. No real changes to the physical layout, although it seemed like a few more chairs were packed around the stage. The lighting, though, was changed, and it was not an improvement. The stage was just about unlit, and there were spots where you could barely see whether dancer was dressed or undressed. It was the kind of lighting I'd expect if the club's top dance had Amy Shumer's body --and the girls here were much better than that, Much better. Also, if you faced the big bank of TVs, the dancers were just shadows, and when various doors opened, the affect from the lights behind them was almost blinding. Even wierder, the men's had the kind of lighting you'd expect for the stage. Flashing colored lights, not too bright, but not very dim, so you could see everything clearly. Unless they're planning to move the private dance area into the men's room, not a winner of an idea, and I don't think it's in their plans ;-)

The dancers, however, were improved. On just about all of my past visits, there were always one or two hefty heifers lumbering around, pleasant enough personalities and fairly frisky, but the stage would clear out while they were up there, and the next dancer would get less tip money because it took a while for the audience to return. Not this time. All of the dozen dancers or so I saw were at least above average looking, and several were hot. Most were pretty frisky. But two (good looking, but not the best) didn't bother taking anything off, and didn't even let their (attractive) tits pop out until the last minute or so of their last song. I guess they shmoozed with enough regular customers to arrange enough private dances to get by, but they sure won't make new customers this way. On the other hand, about half the dancers stripped down to tiny G-Strings, not just bikini bottoms, so it evened out.

More customers than I'd expected, which is good, but when you've got a big stage with most of the seats filled, and almost a dozen dancers hanging around, more than half idle, it's a good idea to get more than one dancer up on stage. They didn't do it, and the crowd drifted away, mostly out. Clubs around here used to be packed on Friday afternoons, and one reason they're not any more is that clubs don't put enough girls on stage. However, one good point is that the really annoying dancers who would hit you up for dances just about every other song, even when you had bills on the table and were waiting for the girl on stage to get around to you, well, they're mostly gone. And the waitresses are better looking, and aren't squeezed into outfits a size too small and made them look chunky.
