Same old Cheeks
Cheeks is still Cheeks. Of all of the Dayton area clubs, this one seems to have changed the least. The dancers still are on the average fairly young (I’d say 23 or younger). Many of the dancers have after market enhancements. Neither is really my target, so I just check in a few times a year to confirm I am not missing anything new.
Although the club is big and still is packed on the weekends, it seems to me that the crowd and the number of dancers have dropped noticeably during the middle of the week. This seems to be happening all over Dayton (see my review of the Living Room, for instance), with the only exception being the Harem. The upside is Cheeks will call more 2 for 1s (nearly every 30 minutes) when It’s painfully slow, and all of the dancers I talked with on one Wednesday evening offered 2 for 1 whether it was called or not. By the way, if you continue dancing after the 2 for 1, dances are then full price ($25), a fact about which dancers are not always forthcoming.
I don’t know if it’s just my luck or what, but at Cheeks more than any other club I have been to I am more likely to get blown off by dancers. Here I tip them, often THEY say they will come over, and for the rest of the evening you would think I was invisible. Since this does not happen anywhere else, it seems to be a Cheeks thing. I guess that’s why a place with a disproportionately large number of very young dancers is not for me.
