Monkey Business

I managed to track down my old manager from Deja Vu. German is awesome. He let me audition and work the same night. This club is in Metairie, right next to another bar. My understanding is it was formerly known as Club Eden. It is not a large club but it is very elegantly decorated. The single stage is circular with a spinning pole that my lazy ass did not bother utilizing. Stage money here is FUCKING AWESOME. They have 2 bouncers/floor attendants collect it after each set. The DJ was very enthusiastic about my preferences for Pantera and Slayer. Song sets are 3, down to 2 if there are a lot dancers in rotation.

Being in Jefferson Parish, the laws are very different than Orleans Parish. Latex must be worn over nipples and there is no topless contact in the couch dance room. However I did quite well despite having to adjust to these new rules after the laissez faire debauchery of Bourbon Street. House fees at this club are VERY reasonable. I wasn't having an aneurysm this time. Dances are $40, $30/10 split.

The club got quite busy later on, including a basketball player named Dante something who brought in a MONKEY. That's right a baby monkey. What are the odds on my last night in town I'd get to work with my favorite NOLA manager and pet a marmoset? I'll definitely be back here.
