Expensive Trip

This was my first visit to Platinum Dolls (note that the picture above says Platinum Plus, the Plus was changed to Dolls) since it changed owners. You can tell that they have put some money into the place. All of the older furniture has been replaced and it has a cleaner, more upscale look overall. The information above says that it is a $5 cover but I am pretty sure that I paid $7.

Overall the quality of the dancers was very good, but the value just doesn't seem to be there for me. There used to be a lot of extracurricular fun to be had there in the VIP but that all seems to be gone now. The couch room was too bright and well patrolled by the bouncers. Also, according to the dancers, there are cameras everywhere and they have to be careful or they will get in trouble. Accompanying this downgrade in fun is an increase in the prices. They even charge a fee to enter the lap dance area ($5 for topless and $10 for nude). They also cut the songs short so again you are paying more for less and that just does not make sense to me. I probably would not return.

One positive note that it does seem to be very couple friendly and there were several women there. Though I did overhear one women complaining that she couldn't believe that she also had to pay the cover charge.
