Good, but not great

I visited Gallaghers due to all the positive review of the quality of dances here. This is true to a degree, but I didn't think the dance quality upgrade was worth the trip to Queens. In the city Flashdancers or Private Eyes do a similar dance, though Gallaghers is a bit more private I suppose. The dance area is not near the stage so that's good. I've never been at night but during the day on weekends it's pretty quiet in that area. A bouncer did come and yell about hands not being on the chair - this was a letdown even though people have mentioned that this doesn't happen during the day, so beware. The drinks were cheaper than Manhattan but I don't visit for the drinks. The tip parade wasn't so bad since I got to meet each dancer which helped selection. The dancers ranged big time in looks and style. Overall it was little more of a fake look than the Manhattan clubs. All in all, the visit was good, but I probably won't head back unless I'm in the area or getting bored of the best Manhattan joints.
