Just like I remember from my wedding 15 years ago... that's not a good thing.
Out of convenience, and against my better judgement, I took my girlfriend in when we found ourselves visiting Fremont around midnight. As mentioned in the title, I visited this place when I was in town to get married 15 years ago (the marriage ended). This marked the last time I will visit.
The Gulch looks like it hasn't been cleaned since my last visit. Even in the low rent district of Fremont, I'm surprised at just how seedy this club still is. The dancers have limited space to work with, it's more of a runway than a stage. They have poles, but the girls couldn't really do that much with them due to a low ceiling.
Drink prices are unacceptably high, considering the quality of the bar. The girls are extremely focused on a fast hustle, most of them can barely say hello before trying to drag you off for a dance. I had more than one start pushing me to tip them when I when I declined a lapdance from someone I hadn't exchanged 10 words with. Once they realize that there will be no immediate flood of money springing out of you, they're gone to press someone else or sit with a group of other idle girls to smoke. Most of the dancers were clearly at Glitter Gulch because their looks wouldn't fly in a nicer club.
