Ass with class

A large spacious parking lot preceded by a beat up road leading up to the venue was what first greeted me on my trip out to the Dallas chapter of Spearmint Rhino. The parking was in good condition, as was the physical condition of the building. The only thing that kept this place from a perfect Physical Club Rating was its size--many Dallas clubs are bigger and even more lavish.

Inside the lobby where the cute doorgirl takes your $5 afternoon entrance fee I noticed a sign on the counter apologizing for the mandatory $5 Dallas adult entertainment tax to be passed onto their patrons. If 100% of the door goes towards this cause then I do not see a need to apologize. $5 is nothing, and most club charge something just to keep the riff raff out.

Down the hall to the right of the door girl brings you into the club proper. Bathrooms and changing lockers down the hall to the left of where you enter, and immediately after that is a staircase to the second floor which is not open to the public during the day-shift. I was told that the upstairs featured more seating and private booths of the same nature, as well as an office. Further down on the left of where you enter are the champagne rooms of varying sizes for $325/$650 for 30/60 minutes. The center of the floor holds the main stage with with an arched stair/bridge leading to the bar on the right of the floor. As the club fills out, they actually have the girls dance on the bar or grind while holding onto the side of the stairs. Don't tell OSHA. Immediately to the right of where you come in is an alcove of seating that also holds a poker table. One of the girls informed me that this is to resonate with the brand as Rhino's most famous location is in Vegas*. Between the bar and the poker table is a door that leads to the smoking alcove. Behind the poker table is a private dance area with many booths that'll run you $50 for 2 songs or $100 for 15 minutes (roughly 4.5 songs). $20/song dances could also be had anywhere on the floor around the stage, but that's strictly for the exhibitionists among you.
