PdN is an interesting place. In my opinion it’s the best SC in Ensenada, and has been for the past few years. My most recent visits were during the week of November 7th when I went there on two consecutive nights.

Since this is the first review of PdN on this site I’ll try to describe the layout and overall setup. There’s no cover charge, and there’s a full bar. You enter through a heavy curtain after walking past a Policia who is always stationed at the front door. Directly ahead as you enter is one end of the bar which is about twenty-five feet long and up against the left wall as you enter. Directly in front of the bar is main area which contains several tables, the main dance stage with stools around all four sides of the rail, and more tables on a slightly raised platform on the right wall directly across from the bar. The stage is about 20'x10' with two poles, and a ring hanging from the middle. There’s an additional raised area with more tables up a few steps from the main floor at right angles to the bar up against the front wall of the club. In the back right corner is a long set of stairs which leads to the semi-private dance booths and private rooms for extracurricular activities. At the back left is the hombre’s bathroom.

Drinks are around $3 for beers, and $5 for mixed drinks. Drinks for the dancers run $10. Dances cost $5, $10, or $20 depending on your choice. A $5 dance is done right where you sit in the bar. A $10 (private) dance is done upstairs in one of the semi-private booths, and $20 (topless) dance also done upstairs in a semi-private booth. Let me first say the “private” and “topless” don’t translate the same way they do in American clubs. The $20 dances usually include mucho touching just about anywhere, and after the first dance are usually done nude. It’s quite common that the girl will try to sell additional services, but not all dancers do. The booths line a long upstairs hallway and are just a small three-sided cubical with a single chair and a translucent cloth to cover the front. There are probably about ten booths in all. On the opposite side of the hallway are three private rooms that are used for the extra services. It reminds me of the stories of the Old West saloons with upstairs “entertainment”. For those interested, an additional fee can be paid if you’d like the dancer to visit your hotel room rather than use one of these.
