Vegas Afternoon

In Vegas for the proverbial work conference...decided to blow off one afternoon. Now I have done the Vegas Strip Club at 2 am on a Thursday Night after conferencing all day, followed by the work dinner with your cohorts that you can actually stand, that leads to shots at the night club we are a bit too old for, and suddenly it's 2am and your face deep in a set of 36C's! Not this trip. This trip I decide I want some "me" time at 12:00 PM! I slink out of the conference, sneek to the cab line, act like I'm heading back to my hotel for lunch, grab a cab and say the fateful words... Cheetahs Please. $20 at the door. I have not been inside Cheetahs in years. They moved the stage from the front wall to a small island in the middle. The bar is still raised, long, and filled with 6 guys you hope your not. Yet I am because I am here at 12 in the afternoon, just like them. Total of 6 six girls. Two sitting on there hands talking, two sitting at the bar chasing drinks from the 6 gentlemen losers. The last two are the Ugly Pair and they are working the room. One drink later I go back to the front entrance and ask for my money back for my entry fee, and the drink I bought. The Door Thug hands me a pass for my next visit and calls me a cab. He will not refund my any of my cash. So $20 cab ride, $20 entry, $10 for 1 badly made Vodka tonic. But he gave me a pass for my "Next Visit". Can you hear my sarcasm? Waste of $50, but I learned a valuable lesson. I went to 3 more strip clubs that day, including The Rhino. They all sucked. Lesson, DO NOT GO TO STRIP CLUBS IN VEGAS DURING THE DAY. "Nothing to see here, move along please". Better off at the topless pool at Wynn, which is exactly where I ended up. If I offer only one piece of advice in this column, stay out of the Vegas Strip Clubs if the sun is up.
