It started out well
Was in NOLA for an annual conference, tried the Penthouse Club for the first time. It seems like a great club. Was met almost immediately by an attractive dancer named Gia. Great fit body, but fake cans. Oh well. She seemed relatively hot and nice though for the first 15 minutes, so after a drink we headed for the VIP. I wasn't even hammered, so I thought my decision making was ok. And compared to some other New Orleans clubs, the VIP at Penthouse was a steal. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, and the staff is professional and makes you feel welcome. For an hour including the dancer it was only about $600 plus a tip. My problem was the dancer. The first 30 minutes were good, even though her opinion of herself was fantastically higher than reality. When a dancer continually tells you how every man in the club is jealous because she is so fabulous that they all want to be with her, it's usually a signal that she's got some issues. And that proved to be the case. After the first half hour, she developed ADD. She left the room, came back, turned the music up, turned the music down, left again, came back again. In, out, in out, up, down. Jesus it was exhausting. Eventually she located a dancer friend of hers (who thankfully was attractive) and sent her in like a relief pitcher while she went out for another "break." Any guesses as to why someone would act so erratically? I've got one or two. Anyway, it went from a promising night with a cute dancer to a series of interruptions with a prima donna. My advice is that the Penthouse club is a great place in New Orleans, but take your time before you head upstairs. Once I got back downstairs I discovered there were plenty of very attractive dancers after all. Patience is a virtue.
