Well, that was different

I stopped by my favorite daytime club this week and was shocked when after being buzzed in, I was directed across the club and down stairs to what was once the Underground. Apparently, they have reopened this space as a sort of sports/strip bar during evening shifts and they are now going to use it for their day shift.

For those who haven't been in a while, most things are where they used to be here. There is a small stage at the floor level, which seems to throw the dancers off a little. The bar is about 1/3 the size of the upstairs bar. This wouldn't have been a problem except all the girls just planted themselves there when they weren't dancing so you could hardly get a drink. Prices all seem the same as upstairs. They have added several old school arcade games which would be cool except that it isn't why anyone is there. The whole feel is just sort of claustrophobic now.

The girls were fairly attractive with a couple you wish would quit dancing. The problem really was their personalities. The hottest one is among the laziest dancers I've ever seen. Another of the better girls is just one of those who can't stop talking about things you don't want or need to know. The rest all just talked to each other at the bar. I know it isn't easy to strike that perfect balance of nice and approachable while not clingy and annoying, but the girls weren't even close.
