Palomino in the Afternoon

On a recent gambling binge to Vegas, my buddy and I spent the better part of an afternoon up in the Fremont Street area, gambling at the older casinos. While the scenery is better on the Strip, the odds of winning and the payouts are better downtown. However that didn't seem to apply to us. We both lost anyway.

So at about 4:30 pm we decide to hit up the Palomino club. I had been there once over twenty years ago, I knew it was in North las Vegas, so it couldn't be too far. But it was kinda far... Still a $15 cab ride.

It was obvious we got there way too early. I would have thought there would be an afternoon crowd but there were only 2-3 other customers and 7-8 girls when we got there, and definitely not the A-team. We sat at the bar, ordered some drinks, then 2 of the girls peeled off and sat with us to chat. My girl was a slightly skanky blonde, my buddy's friend was a light skinned black chick, kind cute. Bottom line, we wasted too much time talking to these chicks. I ended up getting 2 lap dances from my girl just so I could send her away.
