First time here, better than I expected.

I hadn't been to a WVA club in a few years but was up in the area for a few days, saw this place's TUSCL reviews and gave it a shot. I arrived about 7:30pm and hung around for about 3 hours. Lots of different dancers, a wide variety including some fairly attractive women. White, AA & Hispanic. (No Asian women though -- seems like almost no Asian dancers in the DMV area, why is that? Lots of attractive Asian women around but not in SCs.) A couple of dancers a bit too heavy for my taste but tastes vary. Most dancers seemed to take their stage shows pretty seriously so I enjoyed watching. Didn't try any LDs though so I can't comment on that; just wasn't in the mood although there were some dancers who tempted me. No hard sell, good, pleasant waitress and beers weren't too expensive -- at least compared to DMV prices.

Club interior is nice, large. It wasn't that crowded on a Thursday but the customers who were there all seemed pretty laid back. My prior experience with some WVA clubs (5+ years ago) was pretty negative: smokey, some hard edged, often unattractive women, run down clubs, awful mens' rooms and always a few tough, rowdy customers. This place had none of those negatives. I tried anothe club a few miles down the road owned by the same owner with the same basic results. I don't know if I just hit the right couple of clubs or if all local clubs have raised the bar over the years. If I lived closer I'd come back to Taboo and it's sister club frequently and try out some of the others -- although these have the best Tuscl ratings. I've found over time that comparative ratings in a local area tend to be pretty accurate -- you just have to watch out for high rated clubs with only a handful of ratings -- they're often duds. You can't necessarily compare ratings accurately accross cities and states though -- different reviewers, different expectations mean a high rated Baltimore club might not be as good as a lower rated Philly SC and vice versa.
