ID scanning

A warning for other SCH: As a traveling professional I am frequently in and around Indianapolis and this has always been my favorite club. Its a big club, with lighting set for anonymity, good dance prices and decent to hot women. I guess their policy has changed because not rather than just asking to check your id they want to swipe your drivers license through what looks to be a card reader. I am obviously over 21, the license isn't expired, and even though it's out of state, it apparent its not a fake so I don't get why they want to scan it. Being that most cards now have a magnetic strip with all your info on it I was more than reluctant to do that. When I asked the cashier why he just said its because the boss makes him. To me thats not a good enough reason, especially when I don't want a record in some government computer somewhere of my mid afternoon strip club stops. I said thanks but no thanks and left. After googling another club, I called them (BBF) and they said they don't scan ID's so I took my money there instead.
