The Spice Lounge opened a few years ago and started as a strip club, eventually changed to a black night club with strippers, and has recently returned to being a strip club over the past few months. I was at the Spice a few months ago on a Saturday evening after they had just changed back and the place was practically deserted.

I returned this Friday night and it appears to be showing signs of life with about 10-15 customers being there during my visit.

The club has two stages and they were both open tonight. On the front stage the dancers did not strip, on the rear stage they took their tops off.

There were three white girls, an hispanic girl and about 6 or so black girls working. The white girls were all brunettes, with one having an athletic build and the other two having a curvy build. The hispanic dancer had a more petite build. The black girls were generally curvy to athletic, don't recall seeing any petite black girls.

I did not get any dances tonight but talked briefly to a black girl named Desire. Desire told me the club is likely going to get it's liquor license back in several weeks. We'll see what kind of changes that brings. Hopefully they continue to keep the strip club focus and don't return to trying to be a black night club. Time will tell. I think this club could have a chance if they just focus on the strip club aspect of it. Word appears to be getting out to some degree as it at least wasn't deserted tonight.
