I went to visit the Cabaret Royale and apparently wound up at Chicas Locas' new location in Dallas. They are changing formats at CR, so the music, decor, dancers, etc. are all transitioning to appeal to the Hispanic crowd. Not sure if/when the signage will change, but it's safe to say the CR as everyone knew it is dead.

Also gone are the highback chairs everyone talks about on this site - they've been replaced by red, waist level chairs downstairs (although there are still some remaining highback chairs upstairs - I saw a fort or two while I was up there).

The dancers were all in a pretty sorry mood when I went because many either don't like the new format or anticipate being asked to leave as the club brings in more Spanish-speaking and Latina dancers.
