Tuesday Night at Onyx

I had just spent a couple hours at another club in the area and decided to hit Onyx afterward because it has long been one of my favorite clubs in Houston and on a Tuesday night it usually is always really jumping as they run there discounted admission and drink prices. As an Urban club its a great option. They have a good sized parking lot and parking is free. Admission was $10. It was in the area of midnight either a few minutes before or after. With each visit here the music seems to get louder each time. The club wasn't packed as it has been on some Tuesday nights I've been there but it was a solid crowd of male and female customers. I couldn't get a seat around the main stage but sat near the smaller stage. My waitress was very cute and had a nice body. I did jokingly ask her if she would dance for me. I ordered a mixed drink which was $5.50 and also a shot which totaled about $10. I got a couple other rounds like this later. You wasn't going to beat this in this part of town. I was somewhat surprised not to see a larger number of dancers. I counted maybe 12 or 13. Maybe more were in the dressing room but I know in past visits I seen many more. Quality was at 7. Some thicker that others but a number of them were very cute. We are in a time when tattoos are abundant. Some of the girl's tats were excessive and to the point of being tacky. I'm not going to get on a rant on this subject but i think it takes away from some of their overall good looks. I got dances from a couple of different girls. The lap dances are $20 a song. I've always enjoyed the dancers here but what has pissed me off to the highest is keeping track of when songs end and stop. They are ending songs inside of a minute and into another one before you realize it. Some dancers will let you know but most keep going. They end up giving you an estimate of how many songs they did because I doubt they are even able to keep track. I had stopped a girl after about 4 minutes and she said it was $80. Really four abbreviated songs? It should have been two dances as it would have been two songs if played to the entirety. Anyway on later dances I told the girl up front to stop at 1 or 2 dances. The is DJ cutting and mixing songs keeping the club bumping which is fine but it's a bitch when it comes to keeping track of your lap dances. I've seen stuff get heated in Hip Hop Strip clubs over this same thing arguing with a stripper over how many songs were played. Anyway it was a good couple of hours. They stopped drinks at 2 so my night was done. They are big into the hookah now here I see. That's not my thing but a number of men and women were indulging.
