The smell of desperation

Went to Portland for work conference last week and decide to take in the local talent. Portland is a safe city generally, but I was advised not to walk to Spyce due to the drug addled homeless in the corners. I'm 50 and well dressed and look professional. I got in the club and was surprised at how small it was. 1 main stage in the middle and two auxiliary ones raised up on the left side. The dancers here were ok. Not super hot but not hideous. Average. Compared to Dallas, below average. Anyway, I was approached by a young girl almost immediately and bought us a beer. The veers were extremely cheap $5. We chatted and I found out the prices. Basically it was $20 a dance on the floor with no touching or $120 for a VIP for a half hour of contact. I took VIP. It was fine. Some grinding and sultry dances, but pretty tame. For what it is, it's fine. I'm sure the locals find it better than I did. Average.
