I love afternoons

Everywhere I've visited, afternoons offer the most bang for your buck. And Baby Dolls was no exception. I popped in on the way to DFW to see what's what. It's a massive place, especially in comparison to NYC clubs. Tons of dancers, all types. Bars and food and 8,000 screens. I was seated at the bar for about a minute before being approached, which is normally a turn-off. This girl got the vibe pretty quickly, and left me alone, with a promise to return. Watching her walk away, I was kind of hoping she would be true to her word. And, thank God, she was. In the meantime, I sat at the bar, tipping the dancers who mounted the stage closest to me (friendly, demonstrative, I got the sense that whichever I chose for a dance, I wouldn't regret it), and trying to be cool. Blondie returned (full disclosure, I still don't know her name, she was from overseas), invaded my personal space in the best possible way, and convinced me (it took about 15 seconds) to accompany her upstairs. She took me to a far, dark corner, positioned a couple of chairs, and went to town. She did not try to stretch the experience out over several songs. She was hell-bent on making me happy, and it took a fair amount of self-control on my part (I had a plane to catch...) to keep my wits. Plenty of contact. I can't wait to come back. Maybe next time I'll learn her name.
