VIP is pretty open, YMMV
I found myself near Bandaid's so stopped in for a bit. There was no cover on a Sunday night, but they do scan your ID upon entry, so now I'm probably in some national strip club hound database. As the reviewer below me said, the layout is odd. The main stage is about as far from the door as it can be, to the left, and you pass the bar as you go through. I ordered a bottle of water and got two fives with my change, which I thought was unusual for a strip club. I had to then trade those in for singles.
I went to the main stage area and found a seat near the stage. It was fairly empty on this night (around 10:30/11:00) so nearly every guy there had a girl sitting with him or sitting on his lap. They offer $10 lap dances in the open, or $20 in the "VIP area," which is behind the main stage in a bullpen-type area with 5-6 chairs.
A chubby dancer with a pretty face approached me and asked me if I minded her company. We chatted for a while, and she said that she had a 3 month old baby girl at home and that she does this because the money is good. Meanwhile, the stage dances are one song on the stage by the bar closer to where you go in, then a second song on the main stage, and NOBODY is tipping dancers on the main stage. I felt bad and dropped a few bucks on a few of the girls on stage while in conversation with this other girl.
