Sparky's Review
First time ever in Fayetteville. Was there for an event that got rained out, so based on reviews here, I decided to try out a couple of clubs, Sparky's and Sharkey's (see separate review).
Arrived at 5:00 and stayed until 6:00. Free parking, no cover. Not much happening at this hour. When I got there I saw one AA girl on stage, one AA girl playing pool with a guy, and one white girl sitting at the bar with a customer. There were a few other customers and maybe one other gal who was probably a dancer, but there were times when no one was on the stage. Most of the action was in the form of college football, which was on several screens. It *is* a sports bar, after all.
I sat down at the bar and chatted with the bartender who was attractive enough that I wished she would have gotten on stage, but she said no, she doesn't dance. I found the white girl sitting with the gentleman at the bar to be pretty attractive, and when I sat down she took note of me and we made some good eye contact and exchanged knowing smiles. Fortunately for me, it wasn't long before the gentleman got up and left; I took his seat before it even had time to cool off. She and I hit it off and I asked about dances. She was definitely playing with me when she first said they were $90, then she said, "No, I'm kidding. They're really $900." We laughed and she said they were $20, but she was willing to do two for $20. Not sure if they were actually $10 anyway at this time of day (like they are at Sharkey's where I had just been), but no matter -- the price was right. I gave her a couple of dollars to feed into the jukebox. She asked me what kind of songs I liked, and she laughed hard when I told her my favorite songs are any of the long ones.
