Spearmint Rhino

Just a heads up for fellow members...they raised the price of admission. It used to be "free" with a mandatory drink purchase. So $5 plus another $1 for the waitress behind the bar. Now, it will cost you $22 total to get in. That's almost quadruple the previous price! I don't know if their intention was to drive away the cheapskates but the effect was to really thin out the attendance of the crowd. Not that many customers at all on a night where they traditionally had discount VIP dances where guys could enjoy a relaxing and stress releasing evening before having to start the new work week. Even if some people aren't spending a lot of money, in my opinion a bigger crowd gives a club a more a better vibe, a greater energy in the room. Customers have the option to take their business to plenty of other nearby clubs like Paradise, Synn, and Deja Vu.

The decor and cleanliness of the club is still the same. It has a more upscale feel than other places. And the strippers are still the high quality looking girls you have come to expect from Spearmint Rhino. If you like young, thin Latinas with breast implants this is definitely the place to be. But the smaller crowd has made their attitudes worse. They are trying to squeeze out more from their existing customers by constantly insisting to doing nude dances instead of topless dances which cost half the price. If you go to the VIP area, some dancers will ask for extremely high tips on top of the standard VIP price which ranges from $150 to $200 depending on the day. Their excuse is that the club takes a huge cut of their earnings which forces them to demand big tips. Smaller crowd also seems to have translated into lesser amount of strippers. Less than a dozen to choose from, where in the past you could count on a number closer to 20. So I would keep these changes in mind if you're thinking about giving the Spearmint Rhino a visit the next time you are going out clubbing.
