Starz gets it done - for a certain crowd

I visited Starz this summer while visiting from NYC. I wanted a club with black dancers after a couple of disappointing experiences at some of the larger clubs in the Los Angeles area.

Starz definitely has the more laid back neighborhood vibe. I went on a Saturday night and the cover was $10 at the time if I recall correctly. Nothing outrageous. The main floor feels a bit cramped but all the dancers seem to pass through at some point so that you can hang out at the bar undisturbed for a while as you scope out the talent.

The night I visited I found most of the dancers to be average. If you like girls on the thicker side with tattoos and lots of hair extensions, then you should be right at home. Not too much plastic on display which was good. Most of the girls I saw looked very natural. Again, most of the girls were normal body-type – not too athletic but not overweight. They look like extras from an amateur rap video for the most part. Depending on your tastes, this is not a bad thing.
