Not quite as good as its hey day / golden era, but still easily the best in West LA

I used to live about 5 miles away and had a job (DJing) that kept me up late at night, bored, and sometimes buzzed and needing somewhere to kill time to chill out before heading home. My go to was 4Play. I used to head in weekly for an hour or two, enjoy the company of some of the best looking dancers in town. While it was true that the talent was easily better than I could find anywhere in Greater LA, the knock was generally that the place was more "restrictive" than your average joint out in the City of Industry. For me, that wasn't that big a deal. Was there for a good time, not to get my rocks off. What kept me going to 4Play over any of its competition in the area or neighboring areas was that the place was quite clean, didn't feel to be in a seedy neighborhood (though parking was a bit sketch), and inside the waitresses and dancers were relatively low pressure and many were quite strong as conversationalists. This was what I would deem as their "golden era", early to late 2000s.

Fast forward over the years and on occasion I'll still pop in. I no longer live nearby. But once in a blue moon some of the boys will want a guy's night out for old time's sake. We're all married or married with kids and sometimes just want to let loose. Perhaps out of reputation or nostalgia, we still go to 4Play when we do. Still non-seedy (but sketchy / dark nearby street parking). Still super clean, well maintained inside. Still many attractive ladies. Whereas the place was once swimming in 9s to 10s, I'd say it's now swimming in 7s to 8s. Which in the grand scheme of things is still quite good. Lost some of its luster though. I haven't met as many conversationalists. The push for a dance is a bit more pronounced. Not Silver Reign or SR pushy. But noticeable uptick.

All in all, provided local options, I'd still pick 4Play over just about any other place in Greater LA. I wouldn't go way out of my way, but it's not too far away, it's a safe pick (provided I'm not trying to get a hand job or something) and I know I won't be all skeeved out by the cleanliness inside--of the decor or the dancers. :P
