Apparently, Buck's is THE place to go to party in Ft. Worth
This club does not have adequate parking. Fortunately there is a vacant unpaved lot next door, but even it is usually packed. It was a Saturday night and I had to park in the lot next to the lot next to the actual paved parking lot. Actually, this is the third time I've tried to go to Buck's; the first two times I was deterred by the lack of parking and went to Cabaret North and Pin-ups, which are both nearby. I finally decided I had to brave the horrendous parking situation and go to Bucks. The northside freeways are all torn up and I ended up missing the Meacham exit and going for a 20 minute excursion along 820 and I-35 north before I could get back to the Meacham exit. Then I had to find parking and hike to the club, then there was a $15.00 cover charge, which is high for this area, very high. Then I get inside and find that there is no place to sit, no open tables. The place is packed, standing room only. I was in a pretty foul mood.
The club is a square building; you enter on the west side, and as you go in, there is a long bar to your right and the main stage to your left. The main stage is actually two dance areas configured as an hourglass or figure 8 with a pole on each end. There are three additional dance areas, two on the far side of the figure 8 stage and one near the entrance. The dancers are very varied, with some four and fives, but most sixes through 9s. I'd say in terms of dancer looks that it is very comparable to Rick's Ft. Worth on Calmont, but maybe not quite as many on the high end, and two or three more on the "fugly" end of the scale. But lookswise, this is definitely in the top two clubs in Ft. Worth. There were around 40 girls in the club this night.
Beers were $4.75, which is very reasonable for a Saturday night. As in all the Ft. Worth clubs, there is smoking inside the club, so you will reek when you leave. When I first came in, there was no place to sit and a couple of the "fuglies" were on stage, and, having just paid the $15.00 cover, I was beginning to wonder whether Bucks was some kind of mass psychosis phenomenon. Later, after I was approached by a very pretty Latina named "Jade" and had a couple of beers, my attitude mellowed, and I began noticing that most of the girls were much better looking than the first two I spied when I came in. There is a padded bench seat that goes around much of the wall of the club, so I sat on that with my Latina and got a couple of dances from her. She was upselling me to the "VIP"; did not do it this trip, but I looked into it briefly and it had semi-private stalls. It was the typical arrangement, $50 to the house for 1/2 hour, $100 for an hour, and then whatever the girl charges on top of that, and mine said she would just charge by the dance. We didn't discuss the specifics of what she would do in there, and she seemed a little shy. I asked her about OTC, and she said she had only done that once, and had a gentlemen friend who paid her $500 for a night's date with dinner, but with no sex involved. This seemed unlikely but I didn't push her on it.
