Dated, but fun
Jimmy’s Lounge is a conundrum of a strip club to me, but may be more par for the course for the area than I realize. From the exterior it’s a run-down looking bar, and although easy to get to I nearly drove past because of a lack of signage. In the incredibly poorly laid out parking lot there were a few cars for sale, which was very confusing. When I did eventually venture inside there was a $5 cover.
The interior of Jimmy’s looks like it was converted from a regular lounge, with four pool tables (all being played, too) in the back corner and a main stage off center with two smaller stages seemingly added as afterthoughts. Being generous, if the atmosphere they were aiming for was “dive”, they nailed it. There was one main stage with a couple of side poles that as the night wore on started to get used by girls going off the main stage.
The bar was nothing special, with one or two reheated snack options to help whet your appetite. The best thing about this bar was the girls here were by far the friendliest and most approachable of any of the clubs I visited in the greater Huntsville area. The worst thing about this bar was they have perhaps the most egregious fees for drawing out cash from the ATM that I’ve ever seen ($8 for $100). Conventional wisdom is to load up on money before you come to the club but I seem to test that theory more often than not.
