The famous Hugger

I stopped by after work on a Wednesday afternoon. The bar is basically one big room with the stage on the right as you walk in and pool tables on the right . If you arrive on a sunny day, the first thing you will notice is that you can't see a thing when you walk into the club. I usually make my way to to restroom which is located on the opposite wall by the pool tables. By the time you come out, your eyes will have adjusted. This is a smoking bar, unlike all the bars in Marion county. Not being a smoker myself, I try to get a table near one of the ceiling mounted smoke eaters. Finally, pay attention to the chairs. Most of them suck. The black vinyl ones are usually better than the red cloth ones. I usually don't wait for the waitress to take my order. I go straight to the bar. Most of the time the bartender is the waitress also. The best drink deal is the $11 pitcher of Bud or Bud Light.

Now the girls. Nice variety of younger and older. Most have been long time dancers there. This tells me they must be making money to drive in from all over central Indiana. The girls do three dances on stage, usually going topless for only the last dance. There is some tipping at the stage, but most guys just wait until a girl's set is over and wait for them to come around collecting tips. The dances on stage are fine, but the whole reason to go there is the $10 lap dance. The club is set up for lap dances to be a failure. They are in the open along the north wall. They are on the same crappy chairs that are at the tables. And they are crowded next to each other. Surprisingly, it works somehow. Officially, hands are allowed anywhere but the g-string. Dancers allow touching and do grinding. In reality, many times hands roam to all areas. Leaving satisfied is a real possibility. And that's how the girls make enough money to stay there for years.
