Don't understand dancers

This club is hit and miss...mostly miss. Had a good time once when I went there...several months ago getting dances from Lacy. Last couple of visits have been terrible, especially last evening. Bartender is great, always remembers your drink and serves it with a smile. Inside is not great, but that's okay... It is a car wash. Last night i sat down, started drinking my beer while watching TV, and waited. I took note also of what was going on. There were 11 guys ... 6 standing + 5 sitting. Place was full. The three dancers were sitting at a table together, talking and messing with their phones. They all looked pretty good, but in the 40 minutes I was there, I saw no one get a dance.

The guys were talking and seemed to be having a good time, but the dancers were making no money. I don't understand dancers.
