Worth a visit.
I hadn't been to the ol' "Dirty Bird" in a while and after striking out at Paradise, I came here. I'm glad I did. The dancers were friendly and approachable, and motivated to make some money.
The stage setup is perfect compared to how it used to be. The stage is in the shape of a Budweiser logo, which is kind of interesting. Along with an accompanying paint job indicating that shape was intentional. It's in the dead center of the club near one of the bars, instead of being at the far end like it used to be. This definitely works a lot better. There were somewhere around 10-12 dancers on shift when I went. Several black ladies were working there, which is a big plus for me. It was about 50/50 white/black. Almost all the dancers were very attractive. There were one or two working that could stand to lose a few pounds.
The VIP area is still in good shape. But don't expect a lot of mileage. There's plenty of contact, but you won't be seeing any "extras". Maybe on day shift (I've heard). That's not a negative, really, it's just that last year's closing of the Tropicana Club has left a hole in my heart and there's noplace in the Topeka-Lawrence-KC area that is truly pushing the envelope anymore. I suppose you just get spoiled with a place like that.
