Blush, Just A Smidge Above Average...

Last couple trips to Blush have been okay, if not amazing. It seems like the new upstairs bar is up and running, though I haven’t checked it out yet.

The layout downstairs and the number/variety of dancers has been pretty consistent on my last few visits. Mostly white and on the skinny side, with a smattering of Asian and black ladies. A couple more run-down looking girls lately, and when I’m approached by the dancers, I seem to be getting more stories about how little money they’re making, what’s going on with their kids, boyfriends, etc. I understand that everyone needs someone to talk to, but it’s not really the way to make an impression on a new customer, right? I don’t like to get dances out of sympathy, but occasionally will, never a great time.

A few nice experiences, though. Got a killer dance from a girl whose name escapes me, but who has worked at the club some eight years. Brunette, a few tattoos, pretty and sweet… she knows what she’s doing. Very spunky Asian girl named Ramona was kind of fun to talk to, though I don’t really know what I’m supposed to say when a dancer says “So why exactly are you HERE, tonight?” Um, pretty girls and alcohol? Is anyone there for a reason not related to those two things?
