another visit to Follies

Hadn't been to Follies in a while, so decided to stop in on a Tuesday afternoon around 2:00. Valet parking was in effect for $5.00. Grabbed a seat and a beer. Just that quick, a dancer came and sat down. She was from South America. Soon, she noticed one of the high tables was open and we moved to it. I got a couple decent dances and we chatted it up some. This was my first time to sit at the high tables but I've always heard they are better than the regular table/chairs; sure, whatever.

So the dancer was nice and the conversation was ok. I enjoyed it. I hadn't planned on it but we ended up in the VIP. Another first at Follies for me. It was ok too. The VIP is about on par with the rest of the Follies experience; I think any dance, VIP, whatever experience is more dependent on the dancer than the bar.

I didn't have a lot of time to hang out this visit, but it was enjoyable. I've had a couple visits recently where I just didn't have a good time and it was nice to turn that around. Follies is still a great club for fast paced fun but it's crowded and not laid back; there are better clubs to just relax and have a drink.
