Sinking

With the block no longer a viable option, tried out Goddess as an alternative. And.....well, no. Place is clean, nice bartenders (though my usual rule is that if the bartenders are the most attractive women in the place, you have problems), and drinks aren't that expensive (for example, a drink for the dancers is still $20, not $25 as it is elsewhere. There's a downstairs circle bar with dancers in the center, curtained lap dance area, and a couple of tables on either side; there's also an upstairs with another stage, bar and private mini-VIP booths (this used to be open, but now wonder if its closed off except for those getting VIP lap dances).

There's a very definite atmosphere here; the focus is almost all on trying to find a "regular for the night," in which attention to one person or group goes on for hours, with the rest of customers are pretty much ignored. If you're one of those picked, it's okay; if not, you're going to spend a lot of time looking at the dancers on stage..

The talent level (let's be honest, that's what you look for) is pretty bad in terms of looks. Lots of frankly ugly girls with nice bodies; not sure I've ever seen the "butter face" phenomen so obvious as here. There are a few cuties, but not the majority. Despite -- or because of -- that, there's a HUGE variety in terms of dances. The main lap dance area is very protected from the bar, but it's an open room basically, so if crowded you're going to have to share with a good amount of people. The dances have all been the same -- a decent interaction, with little to nothing beyond basic grinds. I've only done a couple of VIPS -- again, big variety; some grabbing and nuzzling, but it's not a place where the norm is anything heavy (though I have heard that a few girls are pretty wild; somewhat of a crap shoot).
