Christies - not bad, not as great as it should be
I had really high hopes for this place, it's not bad, but it should be much, much better.
Physically the club is very nice, one large and tall stage with a pole in the center of the room, a decent sized bar on one side of the club, tables and rolling chairs on the floor (but it's still easy to walk around the club, bathrooms are clean, there was a bathroom guy my first visit but not lately (thank you!). Bouncers are cool. I don't think waitresses dance. I understand it is recently under new management. The music is still a bit too loud for my tastes. Wide variety of styles get played, and there are a wide variety of dancing styles to match.
But, fortunately, they have the absolute BEST VIP rooms in town! Three of the four walls of the club are lined with good sized semi private rooms (maybe 8x8ft) with a couch and a nice amount of light to see your dancer. No door, it's still easy to see the stage and the bouncers are unobtrusive, noise is diminished slightly. And there is no entry fee (again, thank you!) $20 per dance, no pressure to dance every song (ahem, Curves...) most dancers seem to be cool to hang and talk (again, ahem, Curves...) there instead of on floor. It makes a much more relaxed, low pressure atmosphere where I tend to end up getting more dances.
