Times are a changin'

I've been going to this club fairly regularly for a few years now (about once every couple of weeks, starting back when it was Cabaret International (the change and remodel happened almost 3 years ago). And there have been a lot of changes, for better or worse depending on what you are looking for in a club.

Let's start with the layout. There is a pretty girl that collects the cover charge in a little nook between the front door and the entrance to the club. Fortunately you can see from there if the club is busy or dead before paying the cover. It is a fairly small and )intimate club. Since the makeover it is now quite nice, with chandeliers and brass fittings. It has one large stage (one dancer in the day and usually two in the evening/night) and a recently added small box for a single dancer. The small (about 15' x 30') VIP lounge is against the far wall and offers pretty good privacy from the rest of the club. The padded benches that surround the wall for regular private dancers are completely out in the open with no privacy and they are not comfortable.The bar covers the entire wall to the left when you walk in.

Now for the talent. Complete turnover from the Cabaret. The first impression is the hostess. Very pretty but has a serious attitude. It seems like she doesn't want anyone to enter the club. She won't smile and won't engage in any small talk. The DJ is good. He plays the music you would expect and isn't obnoxious. The bartenders are pretty but not especially good at their jobs. They don't engage in much talk with the customers either. Very impersonal. Now the dancers. Visually stunning. In the Cabaret days I would rate them at 3-8 with an occasional 9. Now they range from about 6-9. And they are talented on the stage as well, with many more doing pole tricks and so forth if that is your thing to watch.
