It was 7:00 PM on a Monday night post-Katrina. When I walked in they were between sets for the dancers and there was nobody at the counter to charge the cover so the bouncer just waved me on through. Good start! Usually I need to spend some time in a club and see a variety of girls dance on the main stage (as an aside here- they have a side stage that has the girl dance in front of a curtain. This curtain silhouettes the dancer to the street outside so passers by like me get attracted and come in.) This time the girl that had just performed was trying pretty unsuccessfully to contain her large and beautiful bosom back in her bra. A lovely young blond thing called Ariel, she sat down beside me and we talked. I'm like others in that the only thing that kept me from rating this place a 10 was the price. She said that $200 for a private room and then we negotiate further.... too rich for my blood. I asked her about private single dances and she explained about the rooms in the back courtyard at $40 a dance. To me this girl is knock down, drop dead gorgeous so $40 to start sounded just fine. We took a trip to the room and had a very high mileage full contact dance. I sorrowfully explained that the private room was just too much for me but that I would like to know if she made dates for outside the club. Ariel said that she would speak to me in the club itself and that I should wait for her there. I was a bit put off when she didn't show up and when I turned around she was sitting with someone else and it seemed that she had no intention of discussing anything further. Damn! Oh well... It was a fairly painless way to tell me I couldn't spend enough on her to make it worth her while.
